About me

I am a father of one who started this blog mainly as a way to chronicle and share random information on hobbies and activities from a dad’s perspective. We all know that dad‘s love to play, and some dads are a little bit more neurotic than others when it comes to finding the best ways and tools to play with your kids. I definitely fall into the latter category and I am eager to share my information.

I work in healthcare as a primary care provider for my day job, and while I work and research hard for my patients, I like to play and research even more for my son! I am very much into DIY also, and while I can afford to buy a lot of things, I love being a cheapskate and hacking things when I can. This makes me do frequent deep dives into toys and hobbies to get a full understanding of how I can make sure a toy, sport, or gadget is safe, fulfilling, and fun for my son (and me)!

When I started website, my son was just entering high school, and in the years prior I’ve had the pleasure of learning and partaking in a variety of hobbies such as gaming, skateboarding, martial arts, basketball, and RC cars to name just a few.

For example, when I grew up foldable, aluminum Razor kick scooters were all the rage. I quickly learned from my son that that won’t cut it for the stunt park, and trick scooters are needed. But I also learned that these stunt scooters are just as smooth as $400 wooden adult scooters (yes, we got those too), and would work great for fully grown people wanting a fun way to commute or stay fit.

I have learned through buying no less than 6 different basketballs over the course of 6 months, that there actually is a difference in finding a ball that lasts on the driveway court.

I’ve gotten much more fit, almost to the level of my twenties again. I’ve done deep dives into stress elimination as a parent, and emotional well-being and household management.

I hope to share some of the experience on this website, and answer some unique questions that I had to figure out myself.
